My interest in all things photographic started at the age of 12 when my dad bought me a 1979 Olympus OM10 with Manual adapter and Zuiko 50mm f1.8 lens (Which I still own and occasionally use.) Although before hand I was occasionally sent on School trips and outings with an Olympus Trip 35, it never really got the use the OM10 did.
My ability to hoard camera related goodies is second to none – with a few Kodak Brownies from the early 20th century, numerous film SLRs with lenses I use on my modern DSLRs, Infrared converted 400D and 20D, and my best friend the Canon 5D MK1. (It’s been around the world with me).
Over the past 15 years my interest has varied along with the medium. The time and expense of experimenting with film and dark room consumables has long been replaced by the digital darkroom. The speed in which I learned new techniques increased considerably due to digital cameras. My experience in photography to date has allowed me to cover Portrait, Product, Wedding and Event Photography, as well as my own interests in experimenting with more abstract and technical shooting.
